Pastor Daniel Guagenti

Rev. A. Daniel Guagenti was baptized and confirmed at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville, Indiana.

He was ordained and installed as pastor at First Lutheran Church of Bowie, Maryland, on July 20, 2003.

In the summer of 2005, he accepted the call to serve at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where he was installed as pastor on August 28, 2005.

A 1995 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School in Evansville, Pastor Guagenti earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he majored in English and religion and minored in classics.  He was president of the college’s Fairfield Society, which promoted discussion of Christianity and its impact upon all life.  Through Hillsdale, he also spent a summer studying Renaissance and Reformation history and literature at Oxford University in England.

Pastor Guagenti graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with a Master of Divinity in May 2003.  At the seminary, Daniel was blessed to be a fellow student with his father Andrew.  Daniel’s first year was his father’s final year.  His father is now retired after serving Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bardstown, Kentucky for many years.

Pastor Guagenti married his high school sweetheart, Alena, in 2002.  They have five children.
